COLLAB Tifa Lockhart

Collab with

 She did the line art, I did the coloring. This is Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy 7 Very surprised to get to color her, was totally not expecting her in particular! Actually, all the collabs I'm coloring, were in some way, unexpected characters from each person Not complaining at all, though!

Had a bit of an issue with shading and light source since that is currently my main weak point. I did try looking at refs and in my art books to get a better idea. But it's probably still somewhat inaccurate. At least I'm making the effort anyway. I also played around a lot with the blend modes!

I shaded her face this way because the way Mela drew her facial expression, she looks rather devious/sinister, so I thought half her face being shaded would emphasize her expression. Tifa here is probably overhearing a conversation between some bad guys and is either going to follow them sneakily, or get the jump on 'em. That's what I see. Added that brick wall texture last minute, so the background wouldn't be blank, and it could help me with the light source. I'm very happy with this, at least my amateur coloring didn't totally butcher her lovely line work.
